What we do for animals
The 1882 project works around the world to change the lives of the animals that are most exploited and suffer the most. We work for chickens, cows, pigs, fish and other animals that need our help, we are here to give them a voice and protect their rights. We have been doing this job since 1882.

Dismantling the factory farms
Livestock factories are large-scale industrial enterprises where animals live in the worst conditions. All animals have a common feature: they are sensitive beings and individuals who have interests and needs, and they should have the right to their own lives. The project 1882 is actively working on the dismantling of livestock factories.
Promoting plant based
Project 1882 works to accelerate the transition to plant-based food. We do this by inspiring and enabling consumers and companies to choose plant-based options, and through political advocacy.
Corporate work
Companies in the food industry are highly responsible to animals grown in livestock factories. This is due to the fact that most companies buy large volumes of livestock products.
To achieve real change for animals, companies must set specific requirements through a clear animal welfare policy. They should also work with clear vegan aims, which in turn will lead to a reduction in the purchase of all types of meat.
Animals as family members
Animals that live next to people should be perceived as favorite family members and treated according to their needs. Project 1882 calls on anyone who thinks about taking the animal home to contact shelters where there are animals in need of adoption.
